Can you hydroplane across the pond?

Snowbasin celebrates spring in a big way.

April 8 - 9
Retro Weekend is coming up with music and pond skimming.

On Saturday, enjoy live music from the 80s with the popular Breakfast Klub band.

On Sunday test your stamina, balance and craziness by participating in the pond skimming contest. Dress in your best Retro outfit -- big hair, polyester pant suit, or some other goofy outfit -- and try to make it across the icy cold pond. There is no  fee for costumed would-be pond skimmers. But without a costume there's a $5 registration fee. Registration is from 9 - 10:30 a.m. on Earl's Plaza. Pond skimming starts at noon and viewers can ski down or walk from the base to watch the hilarious event at the bottom of City Hill.

Then after the pond skimming, there's a dance party and costume contest to wrap up the day.

April 15 - 16
It's Snowbasin's final weekend of the season.

On Sunday, there are egg hunts -- at 10 a.m. for kids 6 and younger and another hunt at 1 p.m. for kids 7 to 12.

In addition, there's a traditional Easter Brunch.Reservations are required.
