Today's annual ski industry roundtable revealed what's coming this season.
Snowbird rebuilt the Creekside Lodge making it the new and very pracitcal headquarters for ski and snowboard lessons. That tops off its $35 million it invested into capital improvements last season.
Powder Mountain continues to limit the number of season pass sales and daily ticket sales to keep the slopes uncrowded.
Whisper Ridge is an entirely new resort with 30,000 acres with cat skiing only and an overnight village of yurts with chef-prepared meals. It's located in the Ogden area.
The Montage at Deer Valley launches a ski and national park package. Take a day off from skiing and enjoy a guide-led day trip to southern Utah via private jet for a day of hiking or biking. A gourmet lunch is included.
Sundance is installing a new quad chair lift to replace an aging triple chair.
For its third year of operation, Cherry Peak in northern Utah is adding a lift to the summit which nearly doubles the skiiable terrain.
Brian Head, in southern Utah, built a new restaurant especially so it can meet the demand for its Kansas City style BBQ which is cooked and served by the resort's owner. Yum!
Solitude renovated the mid-mountain Round House and offers Himalayan- and Wasatch-inspired cuisine with expansive mountain views to go with it.
Enjoy gourmet "pocket meals" breakfasts on the go from Park City's Waldorf Astoria.
