Nicho's Cause - Raising awareness for SIDS. Come join us for our: 1st Annual Walk-a-Thon .. 'A Walk for Nicho'. This event is being created to help raise awareness for SIDS and to bring this cause to the forefront where it belongs. Our sweet 'Nicho' passed away on Mar. 13, 2017 from SIDS - he was only 6 weeks and 4 days old. No family should have to go through what our family has had to endure, so if by raising awareness, we can help even one family then we're doing what we came here to do. All donations will go towards the purchase of the Owlet Smart Sock Monitor. We will donate these monitors to new mom's and dad's in need. Being able to give parents the peace of mind they deserve, especially where their child is concerned, is the most wonderful feeling - EVER. We've teamed up with Owlet and they have agreed to match our donations DOLLAR FOR DOLLAR! So, come on .. what are you waiting for? The more donations we get = more monitors we're able to donate. The loss of a child goes against everything right and natural in this world and if we can help stop that, then you're a good woman. Registration starts at 8:00AM and the walk begins at 10:00. The walk is 3 miles long, and should take only an hour, at best. You will be walking around businesses, through residential neighborhoods, and end right back where you started - at the Rec Center. There will be 2 bounce houses, face painters, balloon twisters, games, fun and more along with Popcorn, Cotton Candy and soda to purchase for $1.00/each and we will have Nicho's Cause shirts along with our 1st Annual Walk-a-thon shirts to purchase. 100% of ALL donations go back into the organization. We're doing all that we can to help provide what is needed for new families. So, come outside! Bring your family, bring your friends and enjoy one of the last days of summer by having a great time honoring one of our own. Remember, it's for a good cause ... Nicho!
